Dean McCown, Sr.

Assistant Coach, QuickCut Coordinator

A veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a dedicated educator, Dean McCown Sr. brings a unique blend of military discipline and academic mentorship to the Oceanside Bombers. Serving as a former Gunnery Sergeant and recipient of the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Dean's transition into coaching is fueled by a mission to develop "well-rounded athletes" who excel both on the field and in the classroom. Based in the Camp Pendleton and Fallbrook area, Dean balances his roles as a Special Education Teacher and Campus Supervisor with his passion for high school and youth football. His coaching philosophy centers on character development, leveraging his years of service to teach local athletes the importance of resilience, teamwork, and "handling your business" at home and in school. Said Head Coach, Cree Morris, "Dean is a passionate servant leader who believes in community first. He pays close attention to detail in both athletics and education." "Wisdom comes with learning and experience, and I'm honored to bring that experience to the Bombers family to help these young men reach their full potential." Dean
